About OutSpokane
2010-2011 Board Members
![]() Blaine Stum Chair |
Blaine was born and raised in Spokane Valley, graduating from University High School. He came out of the closet just before his 21st birthday while attending Eastern Washington University. He has transferred to Gonzaga University pursuing a degree in Political Science with a focus on International Humanitarian work. He hopes to continue being active within the LGBT community helping to build a better, stronger community than ever before. |
![]() Corey Fortune Co-Chair |
Corey grew up in the Seattle area and moved to Spokane in 2004. In his 6 years in Spokane, he has seen phenomenal social change and decided it was time to step up and do his part. He volunteers with several organizations and he joined OutSpokane after Pride 2009. Corey is thrilled to be a part of an organization that has the ability to reach out to not only the LGBTQA community of Spokane, but of the entire Inland Northwest. |
![]() Danny Hawkins Secretary |
Danny, although only recently coming out, has been working in the community for some time. He grew up in a very close family that instilled a hard work ethic and caring for others. He attended Gonzaga University studying Political Science and Art. Danny wants to present a positive image of the LGBTQ community of Spokane. Wanting to further the growth of his community, Danny joined the board of OutSpokane in 2009. |
![]() Johnny Quinn Treasurer |
Johnny joined OutSpokane in July of 2009 following many years of wanting to do something with the community and not knowing what to do or who to talk to. He grew up in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area with a very supportive family. He and his partner of 5 years live in their home together in North Spokane. Johnny is also active with other gay-oriented organizations in the area such as Pride Foundation and is a regular volunteer with SAN. |
![]() Bridget Potter Board Member |
Bridget has been on the OutSpokane board for so long she can't remember how long it's been. But is always looking for new ideas and new events to add to the proceedings. She's been a Valley resident since 1990. |
![]() Erica Roscoe Board Member |
Erica has lived in the Inland Northwest for 9 years, moving here from Michigan. She has since started a family and wants to teach them the value of diversity. She feels there is no better way to teach a child than by example. Erica joined the board of OutSpokane in 2009, and hopes to encourage community members to celebrate the differences in all of us. |
![]() Michael Jepson Board Member |
Michael returned to the Inland Northwest in 2007, after living in Portland, Oregon, and the Puget Sound region. After spending some time looking for opportunities to contribute to the community on an ongoing basis, he found OutSpokane through an involved friend, and became enthused by the focus on the community. After attending a few meetings, he decided to become more active, as he admires the mission and involvement of the organization. |
